Syracuse, N.Y. – Davante Hackett registered a double-double to lead Stonehill College to a 65-54 victory over the Le Moyne College men's basketball team in NEC action on Saturday afternoon at Ted Grant Court.

Trent Mosquera (Boston, Mass./Belmont Hill School) registered his first career double-double with 17 points and a career-high 10 rebounds to go with three assists, three blocks and two steals. Junior guard
Samuel Hincapie (Medellin, Colombia/Gateway Legacy Prep (Mo.)/Lake Land College) was the only other Dolphin in double digits with 10 points, all of which came in the second half.
Hackett recorded 22 points, including 11 in each half, and a career-best 15 rebounds, while adding three assists. Hermann Koffi posted 15 points, nine of which came in the first half. Ethan Meuser also tallied a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds off the bench to go with three blocks.
The Skyhawks scored the first four points of the game en route to an 18-8 lead through eight minutes of play. Hackett led the run with seven points, while Koffi had six and Raymond Espinal-Guzman drained a three-pointer.
Mosquera scored five points in 28 seconds to ignite an 18-6 run by the Dolphins to take a 26-24 lead with 3:04 left. Sophomore forward
Isaac Nyakundi (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East/The MacDuffie School (Mass.)) followed with six points around another Mosquera jumper, then Mosquera drilled a three-pointer to tie the score and junior swingman
Tennessee Rainwater (Davenport, Wash./Davenport/Utah Tech) followed with a lay-up to put the Dolphins in front.
Stonehill closed out the half with eight of the last 10 points to take a 32-28 lead into the intermission. Meuser had the first five points and then Hackett hit a three-pointer before the buzzer.
The Dolphins scored the first four points of the second half to even the score at 32, but Hackett followed with a three-pointer and a lay-up to put the Skyhawks up for good.
After sophomore guard
Jakai Sanders (Brooklyn, N.Y./Eagle Academy) drained a three-pointer to get the Dolphins with 42-40 with 13:53 remaining, Stonehill scored nine straight points for its first 11-point lead of the game. Hackett had two baskets in the streak, while Meuser started it with a three-pointer and Koffi made a fast-break lay-up.
Le Moyne scored nine of the next 11 points to cut its deficit to 53-49 with 7:20 to play. Hincapie hit a three-pointer, a jumper and had a conventional three-point play in a span of 62 seconds and then redshirt sophomore guard
Deng Garang (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) converted a foul shot.
Rex Sunderland ended the run with a three-pointer and Trenton Ruth followed with two free throws to push the margin back to nine with 4:51 left.
Following three free throws by the Dolphins in a span of 18 seconds to get Le Moyne within 58-52 with 3:30 left, the Skyhawks closed out the game's scoring with a 7-2 spurt. Meuser buried a three-pointer and Hackett had a lay-up, while Koffi made two foul shots after a Rainwater lay-up.
Le Moyne (11-12, 6-4 NEC), which has dropped back-to-back games to dip into a three-way tie for second place in the NEC standings, is back in action on Thursday at Wagner College at 7:00 p.m.
