Syracuse, N.Y. – Le Moyne College Assistant Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics and Campus Recreation Phil Brown has announced the hiring of Taylor Van Fleet as the head coach of the women's soccer program.

Van Fleet comes to Le Moyne after four seasons as an assistant coach at Binghamton University. During her time in the Southern Tier, Van Fleet helped the Bearcats to three America East Conference regular season titles, including this season.

"Taylor's local roots and experience playing Division I soccer at a high level in this city give her an authentic connection to our community and a strong foundation to lead our women's soccer program," said Brown.

"I want to thank President Linda LeMura and Athletic Director Phil Brown for this opportunity and belief in me to lead Le Moyne College Women's Soccer," said Van Fleet. "I am excited to be back in the Syracuse area and to get started with the team. There has been a shared vision throughout this process and I am most excited to work closely with the players, staff, and administration to create a team culture of achievement and excellence within the program and to guide this group to reach their full potential, both on and off the soccer field."

During Van Fleet's four seasons on the Binghamton staff, the Bearcats registered a 32-18-21 overall record, including 20-3-9 in America East action, and the staff earned Coaching Staff of the Year in 2022 and 2025. The Bearcats had 18 all-conference selections, six all-region honorees, eight conference All-Rookie selections and nine America East major award winners during Van Fleet's time on staff.

Van Fleet started her collegiate coaching career with the Bearcats after playing professionally in Iceland for three seasons.

She was a four-year starting defender at Syracuse, helping the Orange record 21 shutouts before graduating in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in health and exercise science with a minor in coaching and physical education. She was also a Dean's List and ACC Academic Honor Roll member.

Scholastically, she was a standout at Dryden High School, where she totals 186 goals and 36 assists in six high school seasons, including a school single-season record 48 goals. A four-year first team all-state selection in high school, she was the New York State Class B Player of the Year in 2015. With her club team, Syracuse Development Academy, she won four state titles and competed in two national championships in 2013 and 2016. She also competed with the U.S. Women's National U-18 team.

She began her coaching career as an assistant with the Syracuse Development Academy (2017-20) and is also a personal trainer and fitness expert with multiple professional certifications.
