Syracuse, N.Y. – Third year Lucas Clay (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) of the men's swimming & diving team has been named the Le Moyne Athlete of the Week, presented by McNeil & Co.
 
Clay recorded three victories to lead the Le Moyne College men's swimming & diving team at the season-opening Hannah/Gibbons Invite Against Binghamton University on Saturday.
 
Lucas won the 100-yard breaststroke by touching the wall in 55.19 seconds. He placed second in the 50-yard freestyle with a mark of 21.88 seconds. He was then victorious in the 50-yard breaststroke in 25.50 seconds. He capped his day by winning the 100-yard IM by over one second with a time of 51.31 seconds.
 
The Dolphins are back in the pool on Friday, October 9^th for the first day of the Colgate Invite.
