Elma, N.Y. – Carson Christy scored with 52 seconds remaining to give Canisius University an 8-7 come-from-behind victory over the Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team on Tuesday afternoon at Sahlen's Sports Park.
The Dolphins opened the game with three goals in the first six minutes. Senior midfielder
Nathan Hoban (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) started the scoring at the 11:43 mark after collecting a pass in an extra-man situation from sophomore midfielder
Emmet McDermott (Pleasantville, N.Y./Pleasantville). Following another penalty on the Golden Griffins, senior attackman
Thomas Berry (Tully, N.Y./Tully) registered his third goal of the season after receiving a pass from Hoban with 9:14 to go. Just seven seconds later, Berry scored again after taking a feed from sophomore faceoff specialist
Mason McCombs (Windsor, N.Y./Windsor).
Lowen Martin got Canisius on the scoreboard just 50 seconds later with an unassisted tally.
Hoban pushed the Le Moyne lead back to three with 3:45 remaining off a feed from senior midfielder

The second quarter was the opposite of the first as the Griffins scored the first three goals, which knotted the score at four apiece. Devin Collins started the run at the 8:26 mark off a feed from Justin Relosky. Following an offside penalty on the Dolphins, Jordan Meech tallied an extra-man goal off a pass from Relosky with 5:55 left in the quarter. Christy evened the score at four with 3:42 remaining off a dish from Quinn Huber.
Le Moyne regained the lead at the buzzer as Berry found the back of the net after taking a pass from sophomore midfielder
Conner Vaughn (Chittenango, N.Y./Vandermont (Texas)/Limestone).
The teams traded goals in the third quarter. Dane Kinney tied the score at five at the 12:48 mark after collecting a feed from Huber. Wilson gave the lead back to the Dolphins with 7:05 left after taking a pass from senior midfielder
Zack Crosby (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn). Peter Biglin evened the score for the third time with 2:41 remaining.

Zach Cartmill (Ithaca, N.Y./Ithaca) put the Dolphins back in front for the final time with 13:17 left in the fourth quarter.
After having five shots saved and committing three turnovers over the next 11 minutes, Canisius struck for the game-tying goal. Out of a timeout, Huber tied the score at seven with 2:09 remaining.
Le Moyne won the ensuing faceoff, but turned the ball over 25 seconds later before being able to get a shot off. After Canisius cleared the ball and worked it around for about 30 seconds, Christy finished off a pass from Biglin with 52 seconds left to give the Golden Griffins their only lead of the game.
Canisius won the ensuing faceoff and was able to run the clock out.
Junior goalkeeper
Lucas Winger (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) registered 13 saves in the setback. Brady Robinson made three saves (against two goals) in the second half to earn the win between the pipes.
Le Moyne (0-4) is back in action on Saturday at St. Bonaventure University at 11:00 a.m.
