Syracuse, N.Y. – Redshirt sophomore guard
Deng Garang (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) made a lay-up with 0.6 seconds left to give the Le Moyne College men's basketball team an 86-84 victory over Saint Francis University in NEC action on Saturday afternoon at Ted Grant Court.

Jakai Sanders (Brooklyn, N.Y./Eagle Academy) led four Dolphins in double digits with 20 points, 15 of which came in the second half, while adding nine assists and five rebounds. Graduate student forward
Shilo Jackson (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central/Vincennes/Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) tallied 16 points, 14 of which came after halftime, nine rebounds and two blocks in his return to action following a five-game absence. Junior swingman
Tennessee Rainwater (Davenport, Wash./Davenport/Utah Tech) scored 14 points, including nine in the first half. Garang finished the contest with 13 points, eight rebounds and four steals.
Skylar Wicks led all players in the game with 27 points, including a game-tying three-pointer with 3.1 seconds left, while adding six rebounds and three steals. Victor Payne and Zion Russell each tallied 15 points, while Russell posted seven rebounds, four assists and three steals. Ahmad Harrison posted 11 points and three steals.
After Saint Francis scored the first seven points of the game, the Dolphins scored nine of the next 10 to take their first lead of the game. Garang led the run with five points.
The Red Flash responded with 11 of the next 15 points for a 19-13 lead with 11:15 to go. Harrison had the first two points and last two points of the span around seven points by Payne.
The Dolphins pulled within 25-23 with 9:00 left with 10 of the next 16 points, but Saint Francis countered with a 10-1 jaunt to take its first double-digit lead. Chris Moncrief scored six of the first eight points and then Payne made two foul shots for a 35-24 advantage with 5:34 to go.
Le Moyne closed within six points on three occasions over the next five minutes, but Gestin Liberis made a free throw with 0.2 seconds left for a 45-38 lead at halftime.
Wicks drained two three-pointers in the first two minutes of the second half to give the Red Flash their largest lead of the game, 51-38, with 18:14 left.
The Dolphins answered with 29 of the next 40 points over 10 minutes to take the lead. Jackson and Sanders led the charge with nine and eight points, respectively, while Rainwater had four, including the go-ahead free throw with 8:52 left.
Following a three-pointer by Russell to get the Red Flash within 69-67 with 6:28 to play, the Dolphins scored the next five points to take their largest lead of the game. Sanders and Garang scored in the paint and then Rainwater made another foul shot.
Le Moyne's lead bounced between three and seven points over the next six minutes and was at 84-78 with 12 seconds left. Wicks drew a foul with 9.7 seconds left. He made the first free throw and collected the rebound of his intentional miss and scored in the paint to get within 84-81 with 7.6 seconds left. The Red Flash then forced a jump ball with 5.5 seconds left and earned possession with 5.5 seconds left. Off the inbounds pass, Wicks buried an almost 30-foot three-pointer from the right wing with 3.1 seconds left to even the score at 84.

Trent Mosquera (Boston, Mass./Belmont Hill School) delivered a two-handed, over-the-head three-quarter court pass to him at the three-point line. Garang was able to beat a defender to the basket for the go-ahead lay-up with 0.6 seconds left.
Saint Francis was able to get off an off-balance attempt from the left wing, but it caromed off the rim as time expired.
Le Moyne (12-13, 7-5 NEC), which swept the season series with the Red Flash for the second time in three years in the NEC, continues its homestand on Thursday against Mercyhurst University at 7:00 p.m.
