Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team had 11 scorers en route to an 18-1 victory over Mercyhurst University in NEC action on Wednesday afternoon at Ted Grant Field.

Maddi Barney (Lorraine, N.Y./South Jefferson) started the scoring just 58 seconds into the game off a feed from sophomore attacker
Mackenzie Prentice (Clay, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse). Only 27 seconds later, graduate student attacker
Francesca Tortora (Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse/Stony Brook) tallied her 17th goal of the campaign. Redshirt junior attacker
Olivia Lockwood (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee/Onondaga C.C.) followed 45 seconds later with her 29th goal of the season.
Following four minutes of scoreless play, Tortora scored again to force a Mercyhurst timeout. Senior attacker
Bella Sampo (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) netted her fifth goal of the season with 7:42 remaining and then earned the assist as senior attacker
Alexa Strelick (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) tallied her ninth goal of the year with 6:04 remaining. Lockwood completed the scoring in the first quarter with 3:29 left by converting a free-position shot for her 30th goal of the season, making her the first player in the NEC this year to reach that mark.
Strelick got the scoring started in the second quarter just 41 seconds into the period. Barney registered her 20th goal of the year with 12:49 remaining. Lockwood pushed the Dolphins into double digits with 7:16 left. Junior midfielder
Julia Blakeslee (Ithaca, N.Y./Ithaca) wrapped up the scoring in the half with her 12th goal of the season with 3:14 to go.
Following over 11 minutes of scoreless action to start the third quarter, Mercyhurst got on the scoreboard as Natalie Wilson, the daughter of Le Moyne Assistant Athletic Trainer Mike Wilson, recorded her seventh goal of the season after taking a feed from Whitley Easton.

Sophie Klein (Slingerlands, N.Y./Bethlehem) posted her second goal of the campaign after receiving a pass from Lockwood. Sophomore midfielder
Melayna Miller (Central Square, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) picked up her first goal of the year with 1:31 remaining in the quarter by converting a free-position shot.
The Dolphins had five different players score in the fourth quarter. Freshman midfielder
Kacie Pilla (Watervliet, N.Y./Shaker) tallied her first career goal at the 12:05 mark. Just under three minutes later, Tortora recorded her 19th goal of the season. Freshman attacker
Aliyah Mattox (Lafayette, N.Y./Onondaga) registered her first career goal in her collegiate debut with 6:23 to play after collecting the rebound of a shot off the post. Senior midfielder
Sara Hunter (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) netted her first goal of the year just over one minute later. Miller completed the game's scoring with nine seconds left off a dish from Klein.

Amanda Manfredi (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) registered six saves (against the one goal) over 54:04 between the pipes to earn her eighth victory of the season. Blakeslee registered a career-high 14 draw controls, tied for the second-most by a Dolphin in the program's history and the most in a Division I game. Maggie Allen suffered the loss after yielding 11 goals and making three saves in the first half.
Le Moyne (8-2, 3-0 NEC), which has won its first three NEC games for the second time in three seasons in the league, remains home to take on Wagner College on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. The Dolphins and Seahawks are the last two undefeated teams in NEC play.
