Syracuse, N.Y. – Le Moyne College softball's freshman catcher Elizabeth Gleghorn (West Henrietta, N.Y. / Rush-Henrietta) has been named the NEC Softball Rookie of the Week for her performance during the Dolphin's five games on the road against the University at Buffalo and Mercyhurst University from Apr. 15-18.

Gleghorn hit .500 in six at-bats through one start and four pinch-hit appearances on the week, tallying a 1.667 OPS to lead the team. She recorded one double and one homerun while driving in a team-high seven runs and coming around to score once for Le Moyne.

All of Gleghorn's seven RBI came in pinch-hit at-bats, including via a 3-run homer on Apr. 17 and a two-RBI double the following afternoon in the team's pair of wins over Stonehill.

Gleghorn's NEC Rookie of the Week nod is Le Moyne's fourth of the season after freshman pitcher Tatum Nessman (Calgary, Alberta / National Sport School) earned the award on Feb. 10 and freshman outfielder Kayla Dunkerley (Purcellville, V.A. / Loudon Valley) took it home on both Mar. 10 & 31.

Along with Gleghorn, sophomore pitcher Isabella Kwashek (West Deptford, N.J. / West Deptford) was named an NEC Prime Performer, as well.

Kwashek worked to a 2-1 record in three starts with two complete games and one shutout in 16.0 inning in the circle. She registered a 2.63 ERA and 1.25 WHIP while striking out three batters.

The sophomore's seven-inning complete game shutout victory over Stonehill on Mar. 18 helped propel the team to a series win over the Skyhawks, as well.

What's Next:
Le Moyne will host St. Bonaventure in a non-conference doubleheader at 1 & 3 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, Apr. 22.
