Tokyo, Japan – The Le Moyne College women's lacrosse program will once again have a strong presence on the international stage as three members of the Dolphin family represent their respective nations at the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship in Tokyo, Japan.

Head coach Liz Beville and assistant coach and former player Paige Crandall '24 will represent the Haudenosaunee Nationals and former assistant coach and player Adrianna Nojaim '22 M '23 will represent Puerto Rico.

The World Lacrosse Women's Championship will be held July 24 through August 2 in Tokyo and feature 16 national teams, which qualified through continental championships. The Haudenosaunee and Puerto Rico earned berths by finishing in the top four at last Summer's Pan-American Lacrosse Association (PALA) Women's Qualifier. The 16 teams were drawn into four pools of four, with the top two finishers in each pool advancing to an eight-team knockout bracket. The United States is the defending champion, having defeated Canada in the 2022 final.

The Haudenosaunee are in Group A and will play Chinese Taipei (July 25), United States (July 26) and Ireland (July 28) in pool play. Puerto Rico is in Group C and will take on England (July 25), Argentina (July 27) and Scotland (July 28). The quarterfinals are on July 29, semifinals on July 31 and the medal games are on August 2. Beville, who recently completed her seventh season in charge of the Dolphins, will serve as an assistant coach for the Haudenosaunee, marking her second appearance at a World Championship with the program. Beville previously represented the Haudenosaunee as the head coach at the 2022 World Championship and has also helped lead the program's women's sixes discipline events.

Crandall, who recently completed her second season as a member of the Dolphin staff after serving as the team's starting goalkeeper for four years, will return to her familiar place between the goal posts as one of the team's goalkeepers. She has served as the starting goalkeeper for the Haudenosaunee at the aforementioned 2022 World Championship as well as the 2022 World Games, 2023 PALA Sixes Cup and last Summer's PALA Women's Qualifier, at which she was awarded Goaltender of the Tournament and to the All-Tournament Team.

Nojaim will return to her role in the midfield for Puerto Rico. She was part of the fourth-place Puerto Rico team at the 2025 PALA Women's Qualifier as well the silver medal-winning team at the 2023 PALA Sixes Cup after the team placed 11th in their inaugural appearance at the 2022 World Lacrosse Championship.

The World Lacrosse Women's Championship brings together the top 16 national teams from across the globe to compete for the sport's highest international honor. For Le Moyne, having multiple representatives competing in Tokyo underscores the program's growing impact both nationally and internationally.

The Dolphins' presence at the championship highlights the program's commitment to developing leaders and elite competitors whose influence extends well beyond the collegiate game.
