In the 26th minute, sophomore midfielder Anthony Patone (Pointe-Clair, Quebec/John Rennie) took a corner kick into the box, finding the head of sophomore defender Louis Weisser (Bremen, Germany/Gymnasium Horn), playing it to the penalty spot and finding the feet of redshirt junior forward Felix Ludemann (Wrestedt, Germany/Herzog-Ernst-Gymnasium), volleying the ball into the back of the net to give the 'Phins an early 1-0 lead.

Colgate responded in the 39th minute with a goal by Charlie Yates, assisted by Connor Cates, leveling the match. Both teams ended the period tied 1–1, with Colgate's Christian Kellogg making multiple saves to keep the score even.

Le Moyne extended its lead early in the 2nd half with a goal by senior forward Myles Palmer (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport/Roberts Wesleyan) in the 50th minute, assisted by junior forward Rhys Allport (Wirral, England/Reaseheath) and redshirt junior Vito Kreuzpaintner (Munich, Bavaria, Germany/FOS Nord/UNC Wilmington), bringing the score to 2–1.

Shortly after, Ludemann added another goal for the Dolphins in the 55th minute with an assist from Palmer, making it 3–1. Colgate attempted to respond with multiple shots, including a notable save by senior goalkeeper Wyatt Dupell (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) in the 58th minute from Yates. Despite the Raiders' efforts, Le Moyne maintained its advantage, securing the win as the 2nd half concluded with a 3–1 score.

"It's a good win, but we need to refocus and get back to work tomorrow with another tough away match on Sunday," said Donnelly.
