Wilmington, N.C. - The Le Moyne volleyball team dropped a three-set decision to Kennesaw State University on Saturday afternoon at the Hampton Inn and Suites Seahawk Classic. The Owls took the match by set scores of 25-11, 25-19 and 25-12.

Aubrey Kimball (Greensboro, N.C./Cornerstone Charter Academy), once again showed her defensive ability with a team-leading six digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first set saw Le Moyne and Kennesaw State traded points back and forth before the Seahawks went on a 16-5 scoring run to put the set out of hand for the Dolphins.

The second set saw the Owls get out to a great start, going on a 7-3 scoring run to start the set. Le Moyne was able to tie it up at 13-13 before trading points for the next 10 points. The Owls went on a 7-1 close out the second set of the match.

Le Moyne went down early to start the third set. The Dolphins were unable to close the gap, as Kennesaw State finished the match on a 9-1 run.

Le Moyne is back on the road to play Sacred Heart University on Friday, September 4 at 6:00 pm before matching up against Binghamton University on Saturday, September 5 at 4:00 pm.
