Fairfield, Conn. – Viktoria Dimitrova registered 11 kills to lead Binghamton University to a 3-0 victory over the Le Moyne College volleyball team on the second day of the Sacred Heart Invitational on Saturday evening at the William H. Pitt Center.
After the teams split the first eight points of the opening set, Binghamton scored six straight points to take control of the set. Following back and forth action over the next 11 points, the Bearcats pulled away with four straight points and 10 of the final 14 for a 25-14 win. Binghamton scored 14 of the first 15 points in the second set en route to a 25-9 victory. The teams went back and forth over the opening 15 points of the third set, resulting in an 8-7 lead for the Dolphins. After the Bearcats went ahead 11-10, they rattled off 11 straight points and 14 of the last 17 to close out the match with a 25-13 win.

Nina Salas (Austin, Texas/McNeil) led the Dolphins offensively with six kills, while contributing eight digs. Freshman
Katie Barbour (Durham, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) and junior
Skylar Jehlen (Rochester, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) split the setting duties with 10 assists each, while Barbour added four kills. Freshman libero
Aubrey Kimball (Greensboro, N.C./Cornerstone Charter Academy) recorded a team-high nine digs.
Dimitrova hit .500 en route to her 11 kills, without committing an error. Magi Milicevic tallied nine kills, six digs, two service aces and two blocks. Regal Kadel directed the offense with 23 assists to go with eight digs. Celeste Ocampo also had eight digs.
Le Moyne is back in action at the Siena Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Dolphins open the event against Bucknell University at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
