Biography

2023 – Junior: After working back from injury, Sparkes appeared in the final seven games of the season with two starts during his third campaign with the Dolphins... logged 65 minutes with one shot on goal during a 1-0 conference win at home over Merrimack (Oct 19) ... made his first start of the season and played 77 minutes at Howard (Oct 22) ... started and played 69 minutes at LIU (Oct 29) ... saw 34 minutes of action and recorded a shot on goal during the Dolphins' NEC Tournament First Round match at FDU (Nov 5).

2022 – Sophomore: Appeared in 15 games with 10 starts during his sophomore campaign… played 79 minutes and put a shot on goal during a 1-0 win over Caldwell (Aug 25) … started and played 70 minutes during the 1-1 draw against #4 Mercyhurst (Sep 7) … scored his first goal of the campaign during a 4-1 home win over Daemen (Oct 12)

2021 – Freshman: Started 14 of the 17 games that he played in, seeing over 1,000 minutes of action during the season… scored five goals and tallied two assists throughout the campaign… scored in his collegiate debut during a 3-0 win over Caldwell (September 3) then provided an assist during the second match of the season, a 2-1 win against Jefferson (September 5).... scored the opening goal of the team’s first conference match of the season, a 3-1 win at Adelphi (September 18)… took five shots and provided the equalizing assist during a 2-1 win at home against Saint Michael’s (October 23)... put three shots on target and scored his fifth goal of the season during the final match of the regular season, a 3-0 win finished the 2021 season with the second most goals on the team

Personal: A native of Glasgow, Scotland, Sparkes is a 2019 graduate of St. Ninians High School… he has played with the Scotland national team and the Wales national team… was a member of the Wales U17 squad at the European Championship… majoring in Business Management
