Class Descriptions 
Barre
30 or 60 minute class that incorporates elements of ballet inspired movements, Pilates, Yoga and body weight exercises. You will use the barre and exercise equipment such as light weights and sliders to strengthen and condition your entire body.

Barre Stretch 
30 minute class that incorporates a mobility warmup, yoga movements and ballet barre inspired stretching. 


Barre Mix
Every Barre class is fun, challenging and empowering! Set to today's hottest music, our classes follow a series of low impact, high intensity movements that target all major muscle groups to shape, tone, strengthen and lift. Classes include a variety of props, small hand weights, straps, bands, exercise balls, mats, to shape your body from every angle. The ballet barre is used to sculpt the lower body, abs and assist in flexibility. There is always room to  'amp'' up your workouts brining more intensity, sweat and caloric burn! All movements and classes are modifiable for all fitness levels.  


Spinning
Held in a motivating group environment, top-notch instructors and music will keep your legs peddling.  You'll have a blast while you ride to a stronger you.


Yoga Classes:
Yoga
Is one of the most popular workout regimes to gain flexibility, strength and even lose weight. Yoga is great for reducing stress and allowing for greater relaxation.


Power yoga 
A class that will guide you through energetic flowing sequences, with a dynamic mix of postures. This physical practice builds strength, increases flexibility, & centers the mind to leave you feeling sweaty and energized! All levels are welcome, adaptations are always offered!

Yoga for Stress management 
Learn the ancient mind-body practice of Yoga to manage stress. Class is taught in a way that participants will be able to do the practices at home if they wish. Each class will be custom tailored to the physical and psychological needs of the participants.

Yoga Strong 
A hybrid training model, meaning that we're incorporating movement patterns that are not typically used in a yoga class, Those patterns are largely strength-based movements that you're used to seeing in other class formats or in the weight room.

Yoga Restore
Restorative yoga is a style of yoga that aims to help the body and mind relax and heal. The word "restore" means to return to a former state, and restorative yoga helps the body return to a state of balance and well-being. 

Yoga Gentle movement
A type of yoga that involves slow, thoughtful movements that are less intense than regular yoga. Gentle yoga can help you relax, reduce stress, and improve your flexibility and balance. 

TRX
A type of suspension training that uses body weight to build strength, balance, and flexibility. The TRX system uses a suspension trainer, which is a piece of equipment that uses gravity and the user's body weight to perform exercises. 

Class Participation
Students, faculty and staff have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of fitness and recreational classes that include; Barre,  Spinning, Yoga, and more.
Classes are FREE to Le Moyne students, faculty and staff. 

The Le Moyne College community can view the schedule and sign-up for these classes by logging on to the Campus Groups. Two weeks prior to each class, a sign-up form will be available. A limited number of spots are available for each class.

To  maintain the integrity of the Fitness Studio, we ask that you please do the following:

Bring a change of footwear for Studio use.

Store all coats, boots, and outdoor footwear in a locker in the appropriate locker room,
which is secured with a lock that you will need to provide.
