Prior to coming to Le Moyne, he served as an assistant coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In his only season on the bench at IUP, the Crimson Hawks advanced to the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championship game after winning 31 games, the second-most in the program’s history. His responsibilities with the Crimson Hawks included developing the guards, recruiting, community service projects, practice planning, travel arrangements and handling the team’s social media accounts. The team set single-season program records for points (2832), three-pointers made (282) and free throw percentage (.782). Guard Devante Chance was named to the NABC and Division II Bulletin All-America Teams, NABC and Daktronics All-Atlantic Region First Teams, PSAC West Division Athlete of the Year, while also being named to the Elite Eight and Atlantic Region All-Tournament Teams. He earned the honors after setting the program’s single-season record for assists with 217, while registering 627 points, the third-most in the program’s history. Additionally, he tied the program record for three-pointers in a season with 88. Also, guard Shawn Dyer was selected as the Atlantic Region Tournament MVP and named to the Elite Eight All-Tournament Team and PSAC West Second Team.

Prior to being hired at IUP in 2014, Langhurst worked at the Hoop Group in Neptune, N.J. In this position, he recruited students, evaluated student-athletes at the Hoop Group Top 100 and Jr. Elite Top 100, helped with the planning and running of team tournaments, and provided individual and group instruction.

Before his time with the Hoop Group, he spent three seasons playing professionally internationally. Langhurst began his pro career with the British Basketball League’s Sheffield Sharks, where he led the team and ranked sixth in the league in points per game (19.2). He was also the team and league-leader in three-point percentage (45.9) and free throw percentage (92.4). Following the season, he named Honorable Mention on the All-British Team.

Following his time with the British Basketball League, he participated in the A-Game Hoops tournaments in Canada in 2012 and then in 2013 he competed in the U-Hoops tournaments in Mexico.

Langhurst played collegiately at Robert Morris University from 2006-2010. At Robert Morris, he was a four-year letterwinner and a team captain for two years. He was a member of three 20-win seasons and appeared in two NCAA tournaments along with the NIT. Ranked as the 40th-best shooter in the country by Fox Sports entering his senior season, Langhurst placed eighth at Robert Morris for career three-point field goals with 157 at the time of his graduation, while he ranked as the only player in the program’s history to have two of the top-10 totals in the RMU single-season record book for three-pointers made.

Langhurst earned his B.A. in social science at Robert Morris University in the spring of 2010.
