Justin Schneidman was named an assistant coach in August 2023.

Schneidman, who is the first full-time assistant coach in the program’s history, came to Le Moyne after serving three seasons as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator at Colgate University.

“Adding Coach Schneidman to our staff is a huge win for the program,” said head coach Dan Sheehan. “He was a highly-decorated player and is one of the rising young stars in the coaching ranks. What's even more impressive is he's an awesome person and I couldn't be happier to have him working with the young men in our program.”

In Le Moyne's first season in the NEC in 2025, Schneidman directed a defense which finished the campaign ranked fourth in Division I in goals allowed per game at 8.67 and held 10 of 15 opponents under 10 goals as the Dolphins went 9-6, including 6-1 in NEC action to claim a share of the NEC regular season championship and the top seed in the NEC tournament. Senior defenseman Maui Wilhelm and sophomore goalkeeper Lucas Winger were named to the NEC All-Conference First Team, while Winger was named the NEC Defensive Player of the Year and USA Lacrosse and USILA All-America Honorable Mention.

After serving as a volunteer assistant for the 2021 season at Colgate, he was promoted to a full-time position as defensive coordinator in August 2021. He helped the 2021 Raiders advance to the Patriot League tournament semifinals for the first time since 2015. While leading the defense over the two seasons, the Raiders finished in the top-40 nationally in scoring defense each year. The 2022 team ranked 18th nationally in man-down defense, while the 2023 squad was 31st in caused turnovers per game. Schneidman guided Donny Gayhardt to Patriot League All-Conference Second Team honors in each season in charge of the defense.

Before his tenure at Colgate, Schneidman was on the staff at Division-I Fairfield for two seasons (2017-19) after starting his collegiate coaching career with a pair of seasons at Division-III Manhattanville (2016-17).

Prior to coaching at the collegiate level, he served as a coach for Primetime and Sweetlax Upstate Lacrosse Clubs, starting in 2010, and continuing into his tenure at Colgate.

A native of Katonah, N.Y and a product of John Jay-Cross River High School, Schneidman was a two-time USILA All-America First Team selection at Cortland State. A sophomore starter at close defense on the 2009 national championship team, he was a three-year All-SUNYAC selection, including first team in 2010 and 2011, two-time First Team All-ECAC honoree (2010 and 2011) and 2011 North-South all-star game selection. He concluded his career with 139 ground balls, 81 caused turnovers, four assists and one goal over 59 games played. Schneidman is the all-time caused turnover leader with 81 and holds the top two single-season marks with 50 (2010) and 31 (2011). In October 2020, he was named to the SUNYAC All-Decade Team.

Schneidman graduated cum laude from Western Connecticut State with a bachelor's degree in business administration in supervisory management in 2014.
