In 2017, Wagner assisted the defense to a 5.76 goals against average, tops in the NE10 and the country, en route to a 14-3 overall record, the NE10 title and the program's 15th NCAA tournament appearance.
In his second season as an assistant and first year leading the defense in 2016, Wagner helped the Dolphins to lead the country with a 4.90 goals against average on their way to a 20-0 season, the Dolphins’ 12th NE10 title and their fifth National Championship. He spent his first year on Coach Sheehan’s staff as a volunteer in 2015, where he helped in defensive game planning. The 2015 Dolphins tallied a record of 16-3 and made it to the program’s eighth National Championship game.
His college playing career at Le Moyne consisted of a record of 60 wins and 8 losses over the four years. The Dolphins went to three NCAA tournaments and captured two NE10 conference titles in the time Wagner was a member of the squad. He, as a junior starting defenseman for the 2013 Dolphins, had a hand in bringing the Dolphins to the National Championship game, where they defeated Mercyhurst to win the program’s fourth National title.
A Delmar, New York native, Wagner graduated from Bethlehem Central High School in 2010 where he was a three-year varsity letter winner and a captain in his senior year.
