Ray Ryan is in his first year on the coaching staff.
Ryan came to the Dolphins after serving as the head boy’s lacrosse coach at All Saints Academy in Winter Haven, Florida from 2013-21. He led the program to two district championships and state tournament appearances, while appearing in four district championship title games. He was named the Polk County/District Coach of the Year three times. During his tenure, the program won 91 games, including a record of 59-13 over the last five years.
He also served as a volunteer assistant coach for the men’s lacrosse program at Florida Southern College from 2012-14 and 2016.
He was the head coach of the Peru national team for the 2018 World games in Netanya, Israel. The team won two games and finished 39th among 48 countries in Peru’s first international competition.
He played collegiately at LIU CW Post and SUNY Geneseo and finished with 90 career points. At Geneseo, he was a starter in the midfield each of his three years. He earned all-SUNYAC honors on two occasions, including first team accolades as a senior, when he recorded 30 points. He played in the USILA Senior All-Star Game, where he led the North team with four points on three goals and one assist.
He played scholastically at Corcoran High School, where he was a three-year starter and recorded over 100 points. He earned all-league honors twice and was a second team all-Central New York selection. He wrapped up his career by earning MVP honors of the Section III Senior All-Star Game.
Ryan, received a Bachelors Degree in History from SUNY Geneseo, is also currently a teacher at Corcoran High School in the Syracuse City School District.
