Vinnie Alexander ’11 has been serving as an Assistant Coach for the Dolphins since 2015. In his tenure at Le Moyne, the Dolphins have made it to Championship Weekend three times, securing the program’s fifth (2016) and sixth (2021) national championships. Each run capped off perfect seasons for the Dolphins. In addition to the team’s success, Alexander has fostered individual success by contributing to the development and growth of 32 All-Americans since coming on board.

Alexander attended Westhill High School (Syracuse, NY) and continued his education at two collegiate lacrosse powerhouses, Onondaga Community College (OCC) and Le Moyne College. While at OCC, he was named 2nd Team All-American, JUCO Academic All-American as well as JUCO national champion in 2009, where he served as team captain.

Upon transferring to Le Moyne, Alexander finished among the top three points leaders in the two seasons he spent with the Dolphins and competed on the National Championship stage in 2010. He thrived in the classroom, finishing his academic career with Dean’s List recognition, a bachelor’s degree in history and master’s degree in special education.

Following graduation, Alexander has worked as a Social Studies teacher in numerous school districts throughout Central New York while simultaneously beginning his coaching career. He returned to OCC in 2012 and 2013 as an assistant coach. During that time, the Lazers capped off two perfect seasons, winning back-to-back JUCO National Championships. In 2014, he was named Westhill High School’s junior varsity boy’s lacrosse coach while serving as a 9th grade social studies teacher.
