NEC Prime Performer 2x (9/5/23 & 9/25/23)

2023: Graduate Student – Appeared in 15 games with 11 starts during his first campaign with the Dolphins, tallying two goals and one assist... started the first eight games of the campaign, then suffered an injury that kept him out for the matches at CCSU (Oct 1) and FDU (Oct 5) ... logged 80 minutes during Le Moyne's Division I debut at Penn State (Aug 27), then played 75 minutes and scored the equalizing goal on a free kick during a 1-1 draw at Saint Peter's (Aug 31) ... was named an NEC Prime Performer for the first time on September 5... recorded two shots on goal in 79 minutes played at Monmouth (Sep 12) ... scored his second goal of the season during a 2-2 draw at Delaware (Sep 19), then provided an assist in Le Moyne's NEC debut against Stonehill (Sep 24), which resulted in a 2-2 draw... Nicastro was named an NEC Prime Performer for a second time on September 25... After working his way back from injury Nicastro returned to the starting lineup on October 19 and logged 69 minutes during an important 1-0 conference win at home over Merrimack (Oct 19) ... recorded a season-high five shots during Le Moyne's 2-1 loss to FDU (Nov 5) in the first round of the NEC Tournament.

2022: Senior (St. Bonaventure) – Nicastro started all 16 games during his final campaign with the Bonnies, recording two goals and one assist… scored his first goal of the season during a 2-0 win over Bucknell (Sep 2) … played 57 minutes with an assist and two shots on goal during a conference match at George Mason (Sep 17) … scored a goal in 76 minutes played at La Salle (Oct 1) … put a season-high three shots on goal in a season-best 90 minutes played in the season finale against VCU (Oct 29).

2021: Junior (St. Bonaventure) – Saw action in 11 games with one start… played 25 minutes off the bench at #4 West Virginia (Sep 25) … was featured in the starting XI and logged a season-high 40 minutes during a 2-1 extra time conference win at George Mason (Oct 6) … recorded an assist during a 4-2 win over Army West Point (Oct 12).

2020-21: Sophomore (St. Bonaventure) – Appeared in all nine of the team’s games during the shortened season, providing a goal and an assist… scored the go-ahead goal in extra time during a 2-1 win over Gannon (Feb 19), then assisted on the go-ahead goal in extra time during a 3-2 win over Ashland (Feb 28) … played 32 minutes during a 3-2 win over St. Francis (Mar 7) … saw a season-high 59 minutes of action during a 1-1 draw at Dayton (Mar 20) in A10 action… logged 50 minutes during a 2-0 conference win at Duquesne (Mar 27).

2019: Freshman (St. Bonaventure) – Appeared in 14 games with seven starts during his first collegiate season with the Bonnies, recording one goal and two assists… was featured in the starting lineup during his collegiate debut in the team’s season-opening match against Florida International (Aug 30) … started and played a season-high 64 minutes during a 1-0 loss at Navy (Sep 6) … started and played 43 minutes during the Bonnies’ first win of the season over UMBC (Sep 8) … registered his first career assist during a 3-0 win over Canisius (Sep 17) … provided an assist and two shots in 61 minutes of action during a loss at Niagara (Sep 24) … put away an equalizing goal during a 4-2 win at Howard (Oct 29) … played 57 minutes during the season finale against La Salle (Nov 2).

Personal: A 2019 graduate of Nepean High School… played four seasons at St. Bonaventure University and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors in 2023… was named captain of the St. Bonaventure men’s soccer team prior to his senior season in 2022… was second on the team in points for the Bonnies in 2022 and was the only player on the squad to start all 16 games… he was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week in February of 2021, and he earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team honors in 2022… due to his work in the classroom, Nicastro was placed on the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll during all four of his years at St. Bonaventure…  son of Robert and Lorraine, he has three siblings named Salvatore, Julia and Stefano… Nicastro is working towards his MBA with a concentration in Marketing at Le Moyne.
