Jeff Lonczak is in his ninth year at the helm of the Le Moyne College men's and women's tennis programs after arriving in 2015. Lonczak has been named the Northeast 10 Conference Men's coach of the year three times (2018, 2021 and 2022). On the men's side, Lonczak has amassed a 95-47 mark through eight years, while on the women's side, Lonczak is 94-51 for an overall record of 189-98.
In his seven years as leader of the 'Phins, Lonczak has coached three Elite 24 award winners and one player of the year: Birdem Oz (Elite 24-2019), Jared Howard (Elite 24 and Player of the Year- 2021) and Kacper Piekarek (Elite 24-2022); one rookie of the year (Tiffany Dun 2015, Isabella Barona 2021). He has taken the 'Phins to the conference tournament 12 times and made the finals for the first time in school history on the women's side in 2019. In 2021, his men won the program's first regular season title and made their first ever conference tournament final, where they defeated Franklin Pierce to win the school's first conference tournament. The men repeated as regular season and tournament champions in 2022.
Lonczak arrived at LeMoyne with 10 years of coaching experience. He was an assistant at Manlius Pebble Hill (2005-07), Le Moyne College (2007), Onondaga Community College (2008-12), Hamilton College (2013) and Colgate University (2014). In 2008 at OCC, the Lazers won a team National Title for NJCAA. Lonczak has also taught tennis at multiple clubs in and around the Syracuse area and obtained a USPTA certification in 2011.
Lonczak started his collegiate playing career at Onondaga Community College where he was a three-time All-America selection. In his first year, he captured the NJCAA National Championship at first doubles and was runner up at second singles. He then won the National Title at first singles in 2000. For his efforts, he was a member of the inaugural Hall of Fame class at OCC in 2004. Lonczak played his final two years of collegiate tennis at Le Moyne. He was named the Northeast-10 Conference All-Conference Second Team in doubles and was a Third Team selection in singles. He was ranked as high as No. 9 in the Northeast Region during his time as a Dolphin. Lonczak is currently ranked #7 in the United States for the 40 and under age group in singles.
Lonczak received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the College in December 2003 and went on to earn his Masters degree from SUNY Oswego in December 2008.
