Biography
2022 – Senior: Made 11 appearances and started the final 10 games of the season at center back during her senior campaign… made her first start of the season and played the full 90 minutes during the 2-1 setback at #11 Saint Rose (Sep 21) … played the full 90 minutes in nine straight games between September 21 and October 22… recorded a goal and an assist during the 3-1 win at home over #25 Franklin Pierce (Sep 27). After the Dolphins fell behind 1-0 in the first half against the Ravens, Sames put away the equalizer off a corner kick, then she assisted the go-ahead goal that was scored by Payton Khadra… took two shots and put one on goal during the 1-0 win against Southern Connecticut State (Oct 8) … played all 90 minutes and took a shot during the 1-1 draw against RV Adelphi (Oct 22)
2021 – Junior: Appeared in 10 games and made five starts as part of the Dolphins’ back line during her second full campaign on The Heights...accumulated 485 minutes of action during the season… played a season-high 110 minutes during a 3-3 draw at home against Assumption (October 5)...took her only shot of the season during a 3-1 win at Caldwell (September 11)
2020 – Sophomore: Did not see any action due to the postponed season
2019 – Freshman: Made 10 starts during her first season with the Dolphins, appearing in 13 games altogether and logging a total of 855 minutes… scored her first career goal during a 3-3 draw at St. Anselm (September 28)
Personal: a 2019 graduate of Shenendehowa High School where she lettered four times in soccer and was named Defensive Player of the Year her senior year as well as a member of the Suburban Council All Star team… daughter of Lori and Matt Sames… majoring in Nursing… played her club soccer for Capital United Soccer Club
