Familo is in her third year as a member of the Le Moyne College Sports Medicine staff. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from SUNY Cortland in 2017. From there, she went on to an outreach athletic training position through Finger Lakes Health and worked the 2018-2019 academic year at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. There, Familo worked directly with cross country, field hockey, women’s basketball, and women’s lacrosse.

During the summer of 2019, Familo began working for United Health Services, where she was an outreach athletic trainer working in the Union-Endicott Central School District. While at Union-Endicott, Familo was responsible for all student-athletes in grades 7 through 12.

While working for the past several years, Familo also continued her education online through Southern New Hampshire University, where she has earned a Master of Public Health Degree. Familo is nationally certified through the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer, licensed in New York State, and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
