SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Le Moyne College junior third baseman/pitcher Andre Enriquez (Miami, Fla./Belen Jesuit) and senior outfielder Aaron Bulkley (Port Byron, N.Y./Port Byron) were selected on the opening day of the Major League Baseball 2005 First-Year Player Draft. Enriquez was selected in the 13th round by the Washington Nationals, while Bulkley went in the 16th round to the Houston Astros organization.

Enriquez, the 384th overall pick, hit .291 with nine home runs and a team-high 49 RBI. The junior first-team all-MAAC pick at third base has hit 27 home runs in his career, good for third on the program's all-time Division I list. On the mound, where Enriquez has been clocked in the mid-90's, he was 1-1 with two saves, nine strikeouts and an 8.64 ERA in 8.1 innings this season. Enriquez has the option of signing with the Nationals or returning to the Dolphins for the 2006 season

Bulkley, the 494th selection in the draft, hit a team-high .377 and led the Dolphins with 11 stolen bases. He was previously drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates as a high school senior in the 10th round of the 2001 draft.

Le Moyne finished its season 25-22 overall and 14-11 in MAAC action. Bulkley and Enriquez were members of the 2003 and 2004 MAAC Championship teams.
