RINDGE, N.H. - Senior Jason Longo (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) scored three goals and assisted on three more to help No. 1 Le Moyne to a 21-4 win over Franklin Pierce in a Northeast-10 Conference men's lacrosse game at Sodexho Field. The Dolphins (11-0, 7-0 Northeast-10) remain unbeaten, while Franklin Pierce (0-10, 0-9 Northeast-10) is still chasing its first win.
Longo was one of three Dolphins to score three times. Junior Matt Cassalia (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) and sophomore Tom Donahue (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) also netted three each. Sophomore Mike McLaughlin (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill), sophomore Brian Cost (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) and junior Blake Gale (LaFayette, N.Y./LaFayette) scored twice each. Junior Ed Street (Manlius, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) scored one goal and dished out three assists.
The Dolphins jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the opening quarter. After playing to a scoreless second quarter, Le Moyne opened up a 14-4 lead after three quarters and netted seven unanswered goals in the fourth.
Le Moyne travels to Springfield, Mass. to meet American International at noon on Tuesday.
