TOP-RANKED MEN'S LACROSSE COMPLETES SEVENTH CONSECUTIVE PERFECT CONFERENCE REGULAR SEASON SLATE WITH 13-3 WIN OVER SOUTHERN N.H.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Junior midfielder Blake Gale (LaFayette, N.Y./LaFayette) scored three goals to help top-ranked Le Moyne to a 13-3 Northeast-10 Conference men's lacrosse win over Southern N.H. in the regular season finale for both teams at the Thomas J. Niland Athletic Complex. The Dolphins (14-0, 10-0 Northeast-10) run their winning streak to 70 consecutive Northeast-10 Conference regular season games and 60 regular season games overall.

Senior midfielder Chris Moore (Minoa, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) won the opening faceoff and raced into the offensive end to score his second goal of the season. Gale netted two of his three goals in the opening quarter as the Dolphins jumped out to a 3-0 lead. Senior Jason Longo (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) netted an extra-man goal 27 seconds into the second quarter and scored another with 2:12 left in the half as Le Moyne netted the first eight goals of the game.

Jon Habel pushed home a feed from Joe Young to put the Penmen (6-7, 5-5 Northeast-10) on the board with 1:30 remaining in the half. Le Moyne extended its 8-1 halftime edge to 10-1with a pair of goals in the third quarter.

Gale, Alex Bily (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) and Ed Street (Manlius, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) scored in the final quarter to give Le Moyne a 13-1 lead. Southern New Hampshire's John Delanoy and Spencer Rennick scored in the final 3:06 to make the final 13-3.

Le Moyne, perfect in the Northeast-10 Conference for the seventh consecutive season, returns to action next Wednesday (May 3) for the Northeast-10 Conference Semifinals. The Dolphins will host the winner of Saturday's quarterfinal between Saint Michael's and Bentley at 4 p.m.
