MEN'S BASKETBALL: DAN HAMMOND SCORES 20 POINTS TO LEAD
BRYANT PAST LE MOYNE 67-61 IN NON-CONFERENCE GAME, BULLDOGS HAVE
WON SIX IN A
ROW
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Dan Hammond
scored 16 of his game-high 20 points in the first half as Bryant
topped Le Moyne 67-61 in a non-conference game between Northeast-10
Conference schools at Grant Court. The Bulldogs (13-5) have won six
straight games and eight of their last nine, while Le Moyne drops
to 8-10 overall.
Jason Holmes (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) and
Jonathan Joshua (Inglewood, Calif./Inglewood)
scored 13 points each to lead Le Moyne in the scoring column.
Freshman Laurence Ekperigin (Courtlandt Manor, N.Y./Walter
Panas) scored all 12 of his points in the second half.
Ekperigin led Le Moyne with seven rebounds as the Dolphins
outrebounded their guests 34-32.
Hammond paced three Bryant players in double figures. Senior
guard Chris Burns scored 16 of his 19 points from the free throw
line. He drilled 9-of-10 shots to help fend off the Dolphins. Jon
Ezeokoli chipped in 17 points.
Bryant led by as many as eight points and took a 33-32 lead into
the intermission. The Dolphins tied the score at 35-all on a

3-pointer with 17:24 remaining in the second half. Bryant rattled
off seven straight over the next five minutes to take a 42-35 lead
and never trailed the rest of the way.
The Bulldogs completed a regular season series sweep of Le
Moyne. On Dec. 29 in Smithfield, R.I., Bryant downed Le Moyne
70-68.
Le Moyne travels to its nearest Northeast-10 Conference rival,
Saint Rose, on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
