#3 LE MOYNE IMPROVES TO 10-2 DEFEATING SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE 12-5.
MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Le Moyne Dolphins men's lacrosse team improved to 10-2 on the season, 6-2 in the Northeast 10 Conference with a 12-5 victory over Southern New Hampshire in Manchester. Le Moyne had a balanced attack with nine different players scoring the 12 Dolphin goals. The loss drops Southern New Hampshire to 3-8, 3-4 in conference.
Southern New Hampshire struck first with a goal by Joe Young at the 12:03 mark of the first quarter. Brian Orlando countered with a goal, assisted by Brian Cost. The Penman would rally for two straight goals to take a 3-1 advantage. Brian Griffin's goal with 9:59 remaining in the second quarter was the first in a string of eight straight by the Dolphins. Southern New Hampshire would break the streak with a man-up goal by Sean Ball. Goals by Keith Vetter and two by Blake Gale increased the Dolphin lead to 12-4 and securing the victory.
Le Moyne was led by Tom Donahue who scored two goals and assisted on one more. Brian Griffin and Blake Gale scored two goals each while six other Dolphins tallied one goal apiece. Jared Corcoran went the distance in goal, earning his tenth win of the season while making 11 saves.
Le Moyne will return for a home contest on April 28th as the Dolphins host Bentley. This game will be the final home game for Le Moyne's senior class and will be broadcast across New York State on Time Warner 26.
