Bobby Blevins was selected on Friday in the 13th round (416th overall pick) of the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft by the Los Angles Dodgers.
In four seasons at Le Moyne College, Bobby Blevins rewrote the baseball record books. In 2007, he posted a 9-3 record with a 3.07 ERA and 104 strikeouts over 111.1 innings. His efforts earned him the 2007 MAAC Co-Pitcher of the Year honors. With his nine victories in '07, Blevins became the career leader in victories with 32. Blevins became the programs all-time leader in strikeouts (319) and the only pitcher in program history to record 300 career strikeouts. He also holds the career mark for innings pitched and starts.
Blevins is the 30th player to be selected in the June draft from Le Moyne College. He becomes the 20th pitcher selected in the draft in program history and the 10th player choosen from Le Moyne under Steve Owens.
