SWIM & DIVE: DOLPHINS SWEEP DUAL MEET WITH NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE FOE BENTLEY

Waltham, Mass. - Sophomore Jerry Dumary (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) won three individual events and teamed for a relay victory to lead the Le Moyne College men's swimming and diving team to a 161.5-131.5 victory over Bentley University on Sunday at the Dana Center pool. On the women's side, senior Lauren Ziemann (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee), junior Nicole Murphy (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) and freshman Katie O'Donnell (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) won two events each to lead the Dolphins to a 171-121 victory over the Falcons.

Dumary, a four-time Northeast-10 Conference champion as a freshman, picked up his first victory of the afternoon in the 100-yard breaststroke in a season-best time of 1:01.48. Dumary also picked up first-place finishes in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:16.29 and the 200-yard IM in a season-best 2:04.26. Dumary also teamed on the winning 200-yard medley relay team with freshmen Drew Acquaviva (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) and Mike Christine (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) and sophomore Sean Hosford (Garden City, N.Y.) that finished in 1:39.40.

Christine, the Northeast-10 Conference freshman of the week following three wins to open the season at Oswego, recorded two individual wins and combined on two relay victories. Christine earned individual wins with times of 22.72 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle and 54.54 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly. Acquaviva also added two victories in the Dolphins' third consecutive win. Acquaviva, the reigning conference freshman of the week, topped the field with a time of 54.40 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke and 2:03.59 in the 200-yard backstroke. Senior Ricky Chidsey (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) registered a pair of individual victories and teamed on a relay win for the Dolphins. Chidsey touched the wall first in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:09.15 and the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.83 seconds. The team of Hosford, Christine, Chidsey and Andrew Dearing (Kenmore, N.Y./Canisius) closed the meet with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:29.97.

Ziemann picked up her first win of the afternoon with a time of 26.18 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle. Ziemann later registered a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle in 56.40 seconds. Murphy touched the wall first in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:09.43 and the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:30.72. O'Donnell, the Northeast-10 Conference freshman of the week for the week of Oct. 13-19, registered a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.25 and the 200-yard backstroke in a school-record and NCAA "B"-cut time of 2:08.32. Junior Kayla Ehle (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) earned an individual win in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:02.63, while also teaming for a win in the 200-yard medley relay. The quartet of Ehle, seniors Brianna Litz (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) and Meghan Nugent (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley) and sophomore Maggie Donovan (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) earned the relay win with a time of 1:54.98. Senior Justine Khanzadian (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) earned Le Moyne's final win of the day by scoring 212.10 points in the three-meter diving event.

Le Moyne returns to action on Saturday, November 8 at Hartwick at 1:00 p.m.
