TOP-RANKED MEN'S LACROSSE BLANKS AIC 17-0 AS 13 DOLPHINS REGISTER GOALS.

SPRINGFILED, MA – The top-ranked Le Moyne men's lacrosse team rolled over AIC on Sunday 17-0. Led by freshman Mark Bowler and Nick DiSarrio first career hat tricks, Le Moyne had a balanced offensive attack as 13 Dolphins recorded goals. With the win, the Dolphins improve to 8-0, (5-0 NE-1) on the year. AIC falls to 1-5 (0-5 NE-10) with the loss.

Le Moyne unleashed 17 first quarter shots as the Dolphins built a 6-0 lead after the first 15 minutes. Nick DiSarrio recorded his first career goal and the first of his tree on the day with :43 remaining in the first period.

Following a man-up goal by Nick Gatto to open the second quarter, Jack Mooney assisted on three straight goals to give the Dolphins a commanding 10-0 lead into the intermission.

Freshman Mark Bowler added three second half goals to pace an attack that outscored the Yellow Jackets 7-0 over the final 30 minutes, securing the team's 19th consecutive victory.

The Dolphin defense recorded their first shutout of the season, one day shy of the program's last shutout (4/7/07 vs. St. Anselm). Le Moyne held AIC to just 12 shots on the afternoon as the Dolphin goalies were led by freshman Bay Stoker's five saves.

Junior Brian Griffin extended his person face-off win streak to 21 as he was 5-for-5 on the day.

Le Moyne returns to action on Saturday, April 12th as they host Assumption at the Niland Athletic Complex at 1:00 PM.
