In the fourth event on Sunday, Acquaviva touched the wall first in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 1:54.99, his fastest time of the year.
Acquaviva also teamed on a pair of relays that finished in the top three. In Friday's finale, Acquaviva joined juniors Jerry Dumary (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) and Sean Hosford (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) and freshman Scott Thieke (Jamesville, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) to place third in the 400-yard medley relay in a time of 3:36.35. The quartet opened Saturday's competition by finishing third in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:39.48. Hosford added three top-5 finishes over the three days. He placed third in the 50-yard freestyle (22.19), fourth in the 100-yard freestyle (48.92) and fifth in the 100-yard butterfly (54.81). Dumary registered a second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.47.
O'Donnell picked up her first second-place finish of the three-day invitational in the 100-yard butterfly. Last year's Northeast-10 Conference Freshman of the Year, O'Donnell touched the wall in an NCAA "B"-cut time of 58.85 seconds in being edged for first place by just one one-hundredth of a second. Three events later, O'Donnell eclipsed the previous NE-10 record in the 100-yard backstroke, which she set last season, but came in second in a time of 59.64 seconds. In Sunday's second event, O'Donnell completed the 200-yard backstroke in 2:09.39 to place second.
O'Donnell was also a member of three top-3 relay squads. She teamed with seniors Sarah Casey (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley) and Kayla Ehle (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) and junior Sarah Salanger (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) to place third in the 200-yard freestyle relay in the opening event of the meet with a time of 1:40.86. In Saturday's first event, Casey, Ehle, O'Donnell and senior Nicole Murphy (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) posted a time of 1:51.50 to place third in the 200-yard medley relay.
