DOLPHINS SWEPT BY GANNON AND CALIFORNIA (PA.)

Erie, Pa. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's swimming and diving teams were swept in dual meets against Gannon and California (Pa.) on Saturday afternoon at the Carneval Athletic Pavilion. The men fell to Gannon, 108-70, while the women lost to Gannon, 76-28, and California (Pa.), 73-31.

On the women's side, senior Katie O'Donnell (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) recorded Le Moyne's only two swimming victories of the tri-meet. She captured the 200-yard IM by over three seconds with a time of 2:10.31. In the next swimming event, she touched the wall first in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:10.23 to win by over two and one-half seconds. Senior Meghan Shea (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee/U. of Bridgeport), the reigning Northeast-10 Conference women's diver of the week, swept the diving events for the second straight week. She registered 233.75 points in the one-meter event and 249.30 points in the three-meter event.

On the men's side, senior Drew Acquaviva (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) and junior James Walker (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) recorded individual victories against the Golden Knights. Acquaviva was victorious in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:00.30 to win by over four seconds. Walker captured the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:37.59. To close out the meet, the quartet of senior Andrew Dearing (Kenmore, N.Y./Canisius HS), freshman Richard Divaccaro (Woodstown, N.J./Woodstown), junior Tim Gallivan (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) and sophomore Connor Agen (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) won the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:33.84.

The Dolphins return to action on Saturday, November 12 at Assumption at 1:00 p.m. In addition to the women swimming against the Greyhounds, both teams will square off against Pace.
