Syracuse, N.Y. – Sophomore swimmer Lucas Clay (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker), junior diver Louis Allison (Queensbury, N.Y. / Queensbury), and sophomore diver Gabby Williams (Scotia, N.Y. / Scotia-Glenville) have been named Northeast Conference (NEC) Swimming and Diving Weekly Award winners for their performances during Le Moyne's Hannah/Gibbons Invite on Sunday, Sept. 28.
Clay was named the NEC Men's Swimmer of the Week along with being a Prime Performer after placing second in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:56.43 and finishing first in the 50-yard breaststroke and 100-yard breaststroke with final times of 26.24 and 57.28, respectively. He added another first place finish at the meet, taking the top spot in the 100-yard IM with a time of 53.49. Clay was also a part of the 200-yd and 400-yd medley relay teams which finished second in both events with times of 1:35.45 and 3:12.89.
Allison was named the NEC Men's Diver of the Week after placing fourth in the one-meter dive with a score of 273.85 and fifth in the three-meter, totaling 232.25 in the event.
Williams was named the NEC Women's Diver of the Week and a Prime Performer after setting a new program record with a 267.25 in the one-meter springboard event. She also placed third in the three-meter dive with a score of 245.35.
Clay and Williams, along with swimmers junior Kayleigh Bigwarfe (Glenmont, N.Y. / Bethlehem) and sophomore Alexander Pilieci (Ottawa, O.N./John McCrae) were named NEC Prime Performers for their performances, as well.
Looking forward, the Dolphins will head to Hamilton, N.Y. to take part in the Colgate Invite on Friday-Saturday, October 10-11.
