MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SWIM & DIVE TEAMS COMPETE IN DAY ONE OF THE COLGATE INVITE ON FRIDAY

Hamilton, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's swimming and diving teams took part in day one of the Colgate University Invite on Friday afternoon. The men's team ended the day with 348.5 points, placing them in third behind UMass (561) and Colgate (392.5) while the women's squad placed third, as well, with 249 points, behind Colgate (553.5) and UMass (464) and ahead of Saint Francis (189.5). 

Women's Squad:
Freshman Shea Gillespie (Oro Medonte, O.N. / St. Joseph's) earned fourth place in the 1650-yard freestyle, coming in at the 18:29.24 mark.

Sophomore Gabby Williams (Scotia, N.Y. / Scotia-Glenville) took fifth place in the one-meter dive, with a score of 203.55.

Men's Team:
Senior Nathaniel Kwait (Fairfield Conn. / Farifield) claimed fourth place in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 18:07.75 while senior Sam Crimmins (Johnson City, N.Y. / Johnson City) took fifth, coming in at 19:19.15.

The 400-yard medley relay team consisting of freshman Owen Daniels (Rhinebeck, N.Y. / Redhook), sophomore Lucas Clay (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker), sophomore Alex Pilieci (Ottawa, O.N. / John McCrae), and junior Justin Enser (Hilton, N.Y. / Hilton) earned second place with a final time of 3:27.43.

Clay also placed fourth in the 400-yard IM with a final time of 4:21.87.

Pilieci took third in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:57.61.

Enser claimed fourth in the 50-yard freestyle, coming in at 21.59.

What's Next:
The Dolphins will finish out the Colgate Invite in Hamilton tomorrow, Saturday, October 11 at 10 a.m..
