After Stinson and junior first baseman Kody O'Connor (Mexico, N.Y./Mexico) were hit by pitches and junior designated hitter Zack Wiley (Toluca Woods, Calif./Crespi) was walked to open the frame, junior second baseman Vincent Redmond (Ithaca, N.Y./Lansing/Garrett College) drove in Stinson with a ground out. O'Connor then scored on a failed pick-off attempt.

Mount Olive forced extras by scoring twice in the bottom of the ninth inning. After Antonio Callaway and Escalante drew one-out walks, Rogers singled to center to plate Callaway. Following a walk to Reitano to load the bases and a Le Moyne pitching change, Berry drove in Escalante with a ground out to first. Senior third baseman/pitcher Matt Marra (Brewerton, N.Y./Central Square) preserved the tie by striking out Daniel Coffey to end the inning.

Following a scoreless 10th inning, Stinson led off the 11th with a solo home run to left field. Two batters later, Wiley doubled to left and then moved over to third on an error by the second baseman. Wiese followed with a single to right to drive in Wiley.
