Box Score Williamston, N.C. – Three pitchers combined to strike out 17 batters and senior right fielder Matthew Ciraco (White Plains, N.Y./Perkiomen School) scored a pair of runs to lead the sixth-ranked Le Moyne College baseball team to a 4-0 win on Sunday on the final day of the Riverside Spring Classic at Skewarkee Park.
After seven scoreless innings, during which each team only had three hits, the Dolphins struck for three runs on three hits in the top of the eighth inning. Ciraco led off by being hit by a pitch and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. Following a single and a fielder's choice that moved Reynolds to third, senior third baseman Matt Marra (Brewerton, N.Y./Central Square) singled to right to plate Reynolds. Marra then stole second, while allowed junior left fielder Zack Wiley (Toluca Woods, Calif./Crespi) to score from third.
The Dolphins tacked on an insurance run in the ninth inning. Ciraco drew a walk with two outs, stole second and came around to score on a single up the middle by junior second baseman Vincent Redmond (Ithaca, N.Y./Lansing/Garrett College).
