Garden City, N.Y. – Adelphi University scored late in each half en route to a 2-0 win over the Le Moyne College women's soccer team on Tuesday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference play at Motamed Field.

After taking the game's first six shots, two of which were saved by junior goalkeeper Tori Corsaro (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool), the Panthers netted the only goal they would need for the victory. Following quick passes by Laura Gomez and Victoria Antonino, Jeanine Nunez collected the trickling ball on the left side of the box and slid a shot into the right side of the netting for her fifth goal of the season at the 30:28 mark.

After Corsaro was forced to make two saves over the opening 12 minutes of the second half, the Dolphins turned up their offensive pressure in an effort to tie the score. However, only one of their five shots was put on goal and it was saved by goalkeeper Sam Whitney.

Following a Le Moyne foul near midfield, Taylor Salmon sent the free kick into the penalty box. Kelsey Malles collected the ball and slipped a shot from the right side of the box into the lower left corner of net with 3:45 remaining in the contest.

Corsaro finished the contest with four saves, while Whitney stopped the only shot she faced to record her fifth shutout of the season. The Panthers registered a 12-6 advantage in shots, including 8-0 in the first half, while taking all seven of the game's corner kicks.

Le Moyne (7-7-1, 5-5-1 NE-10), which finished its road schedule with a mark of 4-4, starts its regular season-ending three-game homestand on Saturday against Saint Michael's College at 11:00 a.m.
