The Purple Knights rallied to win the opener, 3-2.
Following five scoreless innings to start the nightcap of the doubleheader, Bridgeport plated an unearned run in the bottom of the sixth inning. Freshman center fielder Donato DiNorcia (Naples, Fla./Seacrest Country Day) and sophomore first baseman Pat Wright (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) recorded consecutive singles to right field with one out. After they each stole the base in front of them, DiNorcia scored on a groundout to the second baseman by senior left fielder Nate Reynolds (Johnson City, N.Y./Maine-Endwell). Sophomore second baseman Brett Charbonneau (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) then singled to the second baseman to knock in Wright.
The Purple Knights evened the score at two apiece with a pair of runs on three hits and a Le Moyne error in the bottom of the fourth inning. Catcher Clayton Morris drew a walk to start the inning and then right fielder Casey Oullette singled to second. After Morris and Oullette stole third and second, respectively, Morris was thrown out trying to steal home, while Oullette took third base. Left fielder Tyler Gambardella followed with a single to right field to plate Oullette, while taking second on an error by the right fielder. After a pop out, Solar singled to left field to drive in Gambardella.
