Worcester, Mass. – Assumption College won 13 of 16 events en route to posting a 156-98 win over the Le Moyne College women's swimming team on Saturday afternoon at Plourde Pool.
Le Moyne picked up its first win of the afternoon in the 100-yard breaststroke as sophomore
Kelsey Smith (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley) registered a time of 1:09.79. She later won the 200-yard IM in 2:16.29. Senior
Tara O'Donnell (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) added the team's second victory of the day with a time of 1:01.68 in the 100-yard butterfly. The quartet of senior
Katelyn Votapka (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley), sophomores
Calee Coleman (Middleport, N.Y./Royalton Hartland) and
Sarah Gaffney (Livonia, N.Y./Livonia) and freshman
Haley Buchholz (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles) closed out the meet by winning the 800-yard freestyle relay in 8:36.48.
The Dolphins return to the pool on Saturday at home against Bentley University at 1:00 p.m.
