Alfred, N.Y. – Sophomore
Kelsey Smith (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley) won three events to lead the Le Moyne College women's swimming and diving team to victories over Alfred University (166-75) and Wells College (201-53) on Wednesday afternoon at the James A. McLane Physical Education Center. Junior
Tim Buff (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) won three events to lead the men's team to a 167-124 win over Alfred.
Smith earned her first win of the meet by touching the wall first in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:03.03. Five events later, she topped the field in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 56.97 seconds. She registered her third victory of the day in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:04.03.
Sophomore
Lindsey Wright (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) also won multiple events, sweeping the two breaststroke events. Her first victory of the meet came in the 100-yard breaststroke, where she touched the wall in 1:12.39. She later captured the 200-yard breaststroke by almost four seconds with a time of 2:38.26.
Sophomores
Alyssa Baker (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua),
Annie Steve (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) and
Sarah Gaffney (Livonia, N.Y./Livonia) and senior
Tara O'Donnell (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem) opened the meet by winning the 200-yard medley relay in 1:57.11.
Baker added an individual victory by topping the field in the 200-yard backstroke by almost three seconds with a time of 2:21.33. Freshman
Emily Nicastro (Rochester, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) earned Le Moyne's fourth win of the day by recording a time of 2:24.08 in the 200-yard butterfly. Classmate
Kylee Wilson (Conesus, N.Y./Livonia) captured the one meter diving event with a score of 191.60.
Buff recorded Le Moyne's first individual win of the afternoon by touching the wall first in the 1000-yard freestyle by almost 35 seconds with a time of 10:10.14. He completed the sweep of the distance events with a time of 4:59.19 in the 500-yard freestyle. Three events later, he was victorious in the 200-yard IM by five and one-half seconds with a time of 2:01.61.
Senior
Ben Verdi (Buffalo, N.Y./St. Joseph's) was also part of three victories with two of them coming in individual fashion. He claimed his first solo win in the 100-yard breaststroke by 3.25 seconds with a time of 1:01.50. He then won the 200-yard breaststroke by 6.56 seconds with a time of 2:16.74.

Chris Mosconi (Gloversville, N.Y./Gloversville), sophomore
Andy Raiola (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xavier) and freshman
Cory Knapp (Weedsport, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) to win the meet-opening 200-yard medley relay in 1:40.41.
Raiola and Knapp each added individual victories. Raiola won the 200-yard butterfly by 0.68 seconds in 2:01.00, while Knapp was victorious in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.35 seconds.
Senior
Ronnie Lowe (Middletown, N.Y./Pine Bush) picked up a victory in the 100-yard backstroke by touching the wall in 57.79 seconds. Sophomore
Travis May (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Fox Lane) recorded Le Moyne's second-to-last win of the meet by posting a time of 53.72 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly.
The Dolphins complete the road portion of their regular season schedule on Saturday at Southern Connecticut State University at 12:30 p.m.
