Syracuse, N.Y. – Keegan Hyland tallied a career-best 34 points to lead Bentley University to an 84-58 win over Le Moyne College in Northeast-10 Conference men's basketball action on Saturday afternoon at Ted Grant Court.
Senior guard
Qwadere Lovell (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Mount Vernon) led the Dolphins offensively with 12 points. With the 12 points, he jumped three spots on the program's career scoring chart to 19th place with 1234 career points. Freshman guard
Eriq Jenkins (Windsor, Ontario/Catholic Central) was Le Moyne's only other double-digit scorer with 10 points, while adding a team-best three assists. Sophomore forward
Daniel Kaigler (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden/Gannon) pulled down a career and game-best 11 rebounds, while scoring eight points and blocking two shots.
Hyland, the older brother of Le Moyne sophomore guard
Tanner Hyland (South Portland, Maine/South Portland/Bridgton Academy), made 12-of-17 shot attempts, including 7-of-10 three-point attempts, en route to his game-high point total, 19 of which he scored in 13 second-half minutes. He also pulled down eight rebounds. Tyler McFarland, the second-leading scorer in the conference (22.5 ppg), registered 19 points and 10 rebounds (nine in the first half) for his third straight double-double. Ryan Richmond gave the Falcons three players in double-figures as he came off the bench to score 10 points.
After Jenkins nailed a three-pointer to give the Dolphins a 3-2 lead 43 seconds into the game, the Falcons tallied seven straight points. Brandon Wheeler and McFarland made lay-ups and then Keegan Hyland drained a three-pointer at the 16:14 mark.
The Dolphins pulled within two on a pair of occasions over the next four minutes, but McFarland made a lay-up and Keegan Hyland buried another three-pointer for an 18-11 lead with 9:39 to go.
After junior forward
Stan Buczek (Port Jervis, N.Y./Burke Catholic) knocked down a three-pointer to get the Dolphins within 18-14, the Falcons rattled off 12 straight points and 25 of the next 31 over seven minutes to blow the game open. Keegan Hyland had four of the 12 points and seven of the 25, while McFarland also accounted for seven of the 25 points.
Lovell made two free throws with 41 seconds left in the half to get the Dolphins within 43-22 at halftime.
After Bentley took a 24-point lead twice in the opening 62 seconds of the second half, the Dolphins scored 15 of the next 22 points to whittle their deficit to 16 with 14:39 remaining. Lovell,

Russell Sangster (Rockville, Md./Bullis School), Buczek and Kaigler each scored in the paint.
Bentley responded with eight points in 56 seconds to extinguish Le Moyne's comeback attempt. Keegan drained a pair of three-pointers in 28 seconds and then McFarland converted a jump shot with 13:30 to go for a 63-39 advantage.
The teams then went back and forth over the next four and one-half minutes with Bentley's lead bouncing between 19 and 22 points and settling at 20 on a lay-up by Kaigler with 8:59 left.
The Falcons scored the next eight points, including four from McFarland, over 3:50 to take their largest lead of the game.
Le Moyne scored six straight points to get within 22 with 2:41 left, but Bentley tallied six of the last eight points of the game to deliver the final score.
