Ithaca, N.Y. – Junior
Travis May (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Fox Lane) recorded four top-six finishes to lead the Le Moyne College men's swimming and diving team to a fourth-place finish at the three-day, nine-team Sixth Annual Ithaca Bomber Invitational at the Ithaca Athletics and Events Center Aquatics Pavilion. Junior
Kelsey Smith (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley) recorded four top-five finishes, including a school-record performance, to lead the women's team to a seventh-place finish.
SUNY Geneseo was victorious on the men's side with 1685 points, while Ithaca picked up 1010.5 points for second place. Hartwick College was third with 939, while the Dolphins registered 862.5 points to land in fourth place.
On the women's side, SUNY Geneseo captured the team victory with 1528 points, while the host Bombers finished in second place with 1433 points. Shippensburg placed third with 1190 points. The Dolphins recorded 613.5 points to place seventh.
May registered 110 of Le Moyne's 862.5 points with his four top-six finishes. He opened the weekend by placing third in the 200-yard IM in a season-best 1:56.32. On Saturday morning, he won the 100-yard butterfly by touching the wall in 50.96 seconds, his fastest time of the year. Later that evening, he placed sixth in the 200-yard butterfly in a season-best 1:56.24. He closed out the weekend with his second third-place finish by posting a time of 53.93 seconds in the 100-yard IM.
May also teamed on four relay squads that totaled 198 points. On Friday night, May teamed with freshmen

Cory Knapp (Weedsport, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) to place eighth in the 200-yard medley relay in a season-best 1:38.14. May, Knapp and Walton combined with junior
Andy Raiola (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xavier) in the 200-yard freestyle relay to finish in second place with a time of 1:26.46. The quartet of Walton, Dierolf, May and Knapp placed fifth in the 400-yard medley relay in a season-best 3:34.35. Walton, Raiola, Knapp and May closed out the invitational by placing sixth in the 400-yard freestyle relay in a season-best 3:11.79. Tim Buff (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) and sophomore
Eric Burdge (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) to place fourth in the 800-yard freestyle relay in 7:06.22.
Buff was the second-highest scorer on the team with 86 individual points. He opened the invitational by placing ninth in the 500-yard freestyle in a season-best 4:48.99. He then turned in a fourth-place finish in the 400-yard IM with a season-best time of 4:11.65. After placing 15th in the 100-yard backstroke, he finished in second place in the 200-yard breaststroke in a season-best 2:07.91.
Raiola tallied 76 points with three top-eight finishes. In his first event of the weekend, he placed fourth in the 500-yard freestyle in a season-best 4:45.17. He recorded a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:45.20. He placed eighth in the 200-yard butterfly in 1:57.37 before earning three points with a 22nd-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Walton posted a trio of top-15 finishes to earn 51 points. He collected 16 points by placing 11th in the 200-yard IM in 1:58.96. After placing 15th in the 100-yard butterfly in 53.51 seconds, he finished seventh in the 100-yard freestyle in 47.51 seconds, the fastest time by a Dolphin in the event this season.
Freshman
Nicholas Buff (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) recorded three top-14 finishes to earn 52 points. After picking up one point in the 200-yard IM by placing 24th, he placed 14th in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:25.76. Following an 11th-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke in a season-best 53.97 seconds, he turned in an eighth-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke in 1:56.98, the fastest time by a Dolphin in the event this year.
Knapp tallied 39 points individually, while Dierolf added 38. Knapp finished in 12th place in the 50-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 22.03 seconds. He followed with a 16th-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.06) and a 15th-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (49.12) to earn 11 and 12 points, respectively. In the 100-yard breaststroke, Dierolf collected 23 points by placing seventh with a time of 59.86 seconds, the fastest time by a Dolphin in the event this year. He then placed 12th in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:13.62.
Sophomore
Connor Haldane (Homer, N.Y./Homer) recorded a pair of top-nine finishes in the two diving events to earn 43 points. He placed ninth in the one-meter diving event with 269.25 points. He then finished seventh off the three-meter board with 293.40 points. Redshirt junior
Henry Eisloeffel IV (Circleville, N.Y./Pine Bush) turned in an eighth-place finish in the one-meter diving event with 270.35 points.
Freshman
Cameron Keatley (Avon, N.Y./Avon) placed eighth in the 1650-yard freestyle in 17:26.53 to earn 22 points, while classmate
Nicholas Sinnenberg (Burnt Hills, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) earned 15 points in the event by placing 12th in 17:35.33.
On the women's side, Smith registered 105 of the team's 613.5 points with her four top-five finishes. She opened the invitational by placing third in the 200-yard IM in 2:09.57. On Saturday morning, she touched the wall fifth in the 100-yard butterfly in 59.79 seconds, the fastest time by a Dolphin this season. In Saturday night's final individual event, she eclipsed the program's record in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:05.00 to place second. She set the previous record of 1:05.38 on February 7, 2015 at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships. She capped the weekend with another fifth-place finish with a time of 2:28.76 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Smith was also part of four top-six relay teams, including a trio of fourth-place teams. She teamed with classmates

Jamie Alexander (Pine Bush, N.Y./Pine Bush) to touch the wall fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:41.72. Smith, Baker, Decker and Alexander teamed in the 400-yard medley relay to place fourth in 4:07.44. Karen Silaika (Rexford, N.Y./Shenendehowa) and junior
Calee Coleman (Middleport, N.Y./Royalton Hartland) recorded a sixth-place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay in 8:18.55.
Baker finished in the top-17 in four events to record 49 points. In her first event of the weekend, she placed 14th in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.35 seconds. After placing 17th in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:01.47, she finished 15th in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:02.72. She concluded the weekend by placing 12th in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:15.95.
Decker scored in four events en route to registering 37 points. She opened the invitational by placing 17th in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:25.27. After earning one point with a 24th-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly, she placed 15th in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:18.75. She recorded a 12th-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle in 18:42.40.
Junior
Annie Steve (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) placed in the top-15 in a pair of events to tally 32 points. She registered a 15th-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:10.42 and then placed ninth in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:33.71.
Sophomore
Emily Nicastro (Rochester, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) recorded a pair of top-18 finishes to earn 29 points. She picked up 22 of the points by placing eighth in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:16.09. She then placed 18th in the 100-yard IM in 1:05.37.
Junior
Lindsey Wright (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) posted a pair of top-19 finishes in the two breaststroke events to earn 21 points. She turned in a time of 1:10.73 to place 19th in the 100-yard breaststroke and then placed 12th in the 200-yard event in 2:34.53.
Junior
Brittney Liddy (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Academy/Iona) placed in the top-20 in both diving events to earn 17 points. She placed 15th off the three-meter board with 292.20 points and then placed 20th in the one-meter event with 289.30 points.
Sophomore
Kylee Wilson (Conesus, N.Y./Livonia) also finished in the top-20 in both diving events on her way to 14 points. She recorded 255.45 points in the three-meter event to place 20th and then finished in 17th place off the one-meter board with 296.15 points.
Following the semester break, the Dolphins return to the pool on Saturday, January 14th against Southern Connecticut State University at 12:30 p.m.
