Sabrina Riley (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) recorded four hits and five runs batted in to lead the Le Moyne College softball team to two wins on the first day of the West Virginia Wesleyan Invitational on Friday afternoon at the Moyer Complex. The Dolphins won their first game of the day, 5-1, over Mansfield University and then defeated Clarion University, 7-2.

Mackenzie Dreher (Hinckley, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) blasted her first career home run, a two-out, solo shot to right center.
Le Moyne doubled its lead in the fourth inning with one run on two hits. Sophomore pitcher
Alexis Eastman (Endicott, N.Y./Union-Endicott) led off with a single up the middle and then moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Dreher. Two batters later, senior left fielder
Allison Reynolds (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield) singled through the right side to drive in Eastman.
The Dolphins extended their lead to 5-0 in the sixth with three runs on three hits. Sophomore second baseman
Tess Andrews (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) singled through the left side with one out and moved to second on a two-out single through the right side by junior shortstop
Courtney Case (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon). After a walk by senior right fielder
Kirsten Trotta (Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. Dupont) to load the bases, Riley doubled down the left field line to clear the bases.
Mansfield broke through in the bottom of the sixth with one run on two hits. Center fielder Laura Lawson led off with a bunt single and came around to score on a one-out triple to left field by shortstop Amanda Goodwin.
Eastman earned her fifth victory of the year after striking out eight batters, while yielding one run on four hits. Eight of Le Moyne's starters recorded a hit with Riley posting two. Ashley Inman took the loss for the Mountaineers after allowing five runs on nine hits, while striking out three.

Kelly Mascari (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill/Buffalo) singled up the middle to drive in Case. Following a single to left by freshman right fielder
Madison DeRita (Higganum, Conn./Mercy) and a walk by Andrews to load the bases, sophomore first baseman
Rachelle Walters (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) doubled to right field to drive in all three runners.
Clarion cut its deficit in half in the second inning with two runs on two hits. After an infield single by second baseman Paige Baker and a sacrifice bunt, designated player Christina Tressler homered to center field.
The Dolphins added one run on three hits in the fifth inning for a 5-2 advantage. Freshman left fielder
Lauren Floyd (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) reached on a bunt single down the first base line to open the inning and then stole second base. Riley followed with a single to left field and then stole second base. After a pair of pop outs, Andrews singled to center to drive in Floyd and Riley.
Le Moyne finished off the game's scoring with two runs on two hits and two Clarion errors in the bottom of the sixth. Sophomore catcher
Nicole Cerrone (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) reached on an error by the pitcher to start the frame and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Junior pinch-hitter
Marisa DuVal (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) followed with a single to center and then stole second. After Case walked and Clarion turned a double play, Riley singled to left field to knock in Cerrone and Case.

Toni Secreti (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Westhill/Herkimer C.C.) recorded her fifth win after striking out a career-best five batters, while yielding two runs on seven hits. Rachel Hoffman suffered the loss after giving up five runs on seven hits in five innings.
Le Moyne (10-4), which has won 10 of its first 14 games for the first time since the 2009 season (11-3), continues play at the WVW Invitational on Saturday against Seton Hill University at 10:00 a.m. and Indiana University of Pennsylvania at 12:00 p.m.
