Matt Taylor (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius/Cornell) recorded a career-high seven points to lead the second-ranked Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team to an 18-2 victory over Assumption College on Tuesday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Field.
Assumption opened the game's scoring at the 12:39 mark with an unassisted goal by Dan Matisoff midway through a 30-second timer-on situation.
The Dolphins answered with five straight goals in the quarter. Taylor got the Dolphins on the scoreboard at the 9:28 mark by finishing off a pass from senior midfielder

Jack Vajda (Clinton, N.J./Rutgers Prep) gave Le Moyne the lead with 8:02 left in the quarter after taking a pass from sophomore midfielder
Bailey Wilkinson (Black River, N.Y./Carthage). Kline pushed the advantage to three with his eighth goal of the year with 6:07 off a feed from Taylor, who then scored in a man-up situation with 3:21 left off a pass from senior attackman
Logan Thomas (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool/Onondaga C.C.). Junior midfielder
Alex O'Brien (Hanson, Mass./Boston College High) gave the Dolphins a 5-1 lead at the end of the quarter by scoring his first goal of the season with six seconds left after taking a feed from senior attackman
Mike Jenkins (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa).
The Dolphins added four unanswered goals in the second quarter to take a 9-1 lead. Taylor started the run 36 seconds into the quarter after accepting a pass from junior attackman
Cade Kelleher (Binghamton, N.Y./Seton Catholic). Wilkinson extended the margin to six with 8:19 with his sixth goal of the year off a pass from Taylor. Vajda made the score 8-1 with 4:04 left off a feed from Jenkins in an extra-man situation. Vajda followed 100 seconds later with his 14th goal of the year off a pass from freshman midfielder
Dan Entenmann (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn).
The teams traded goals over the opening three and one-half minutes of the third quarter before the Dolphins tallied the final eight goals of the game. As he did in the first two quarters, Taylor scored the first goal of the third quarter at the 13:59 mark off a pass from Wilkinson. Connor Munisteri trimmed Le Moyne's lead back to eight with his 11t goal of the year with 11:30 left.
Kline kickstarted the 8-0 run by finishing off a pass from Jenkins with 7:21 to go. Taylor equaled his career high in goals (5) and set his career high in points (7) with an unassisted tally with 2:05 left for his 20th goal of the season. Just 44 seconds later, Thomas finished off a pass from O'Brien for his team high-tying 23rd goal of the year.

Mike Fiorini (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) started the scoring in the fourth quarter with his ninth goal of the year at the 13:46 mark off a pass from Entenmann. O'Brien then scored a man-up goal with 10:56 remaining for a 15-2 lead. Less than two minutes later, sophomore midfielder

Redshirt senior goalkeeper
Alex Krawec (Kirkville, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa/Onondaga C.C.), the six-time reigning Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week, registered five saves (against two goals) over the first three quarters to earn his region-best 12th win of the season. Senior
Tyler Hall (Hastings, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) turned away six shots over the final quarter. John Demott made seven saves (against nine goals) in the loss for the Greyhounds.
Le Moyne (12-0, 8-0 NE-10), which has won 12 games for the 17th straight season, the longest active streak in Division II, returns to action at Saint Michael's College on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
