Salar Faryar (Frankfurt, Germany/Max-Eyth Schule) each scored three goals to lead the Le Moyne College men's soccer team to a 7-1 victory over 21st-ranked Mercyhurst University in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon at Ted Grant Field.
The seven goals are the most in a game by the Dolphins since they also tallied seven against Wilmington University on September 3, 2005. The six-goal victory is the largest since a 6-0 win over Nyack on September 4, 2014.

Niklas Breunung (Fulda, Germany/Freiherr-vom-Stein Schule Fulda/Hochschule Fulda/University of Applied Sciences) headed the ball from the top of the goal box into the left side of the net for his second goal of the season.
The Lakers followed with seven of the next nine shots, including three on goal, but could not tie the score.
Le Moyne doubled its lead at the 42:16 following a Mercyhurst foul. Off the restart, freshman midfielder
Joe Falcone (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) headed the ball from the top right corner of the penalty box towards the middle of the box, where Faryar volleyed the ball out of the air from the penalty kick stripe and into the right side of the net for his fourth goal of the campaign.
Mercyhurst cut its deficit in half just under 13 minutes into the second half. After taking a corner kick along the right sideline, Jakob Roden served the ball into the penalty box. Following a bounce and settling the ball with his chest, Hady Sarr volleyed the ball out of the air and into the left side of the net from eight yards out at the 57:49 mark for his ninth goal of the season.
The Dolphins extended their lead back to two with less than 20 minutes remaining in the game. After carrying the ball into the right side of the penalty box, redshirt sophomore midfielder
Isaac Davis (Lindley, N.Y./Corning Painted Post) sent a pass from eight yards out towards the left goal post. Weber raced into the goal box and knocked the ball into the back of the net from three yards out at the 70:46 mark for his 10th goal of the year.
Just over two minutes later, Palucci slipped a pass to the top of the penalty box to Faryar, who touched the ball forward before sliding a shot from 12 yards out inside the far left post for his fifth tally of the season.
Inside the final five minutes of the contest, the Dolphins scored three times in a span of 84 seconds. Off a long pass into space by sophomore midfielder
Pablo Fernandez (Aviles, Spain/Real Oviedo), Faryar and Weber went in two-on-one with the goalkeeper. Faryar carried the ball into the right side of the penalty box before sending a pass from 12 yards out to the left side of the box, where Weber touched it into the net at the 85:50 mark. Just 46 seconds later, Fernandez sent a pass from the top left corner of the penalty box along the line to Faryar, who collected the ball, side-stepped the goalkeeper at the top of the box and fired a shot from 12 yards out inside the right post for his 20th career goal. The Dolphins finished off the game's scoring only 38 seconds later. After taking a pass along the left sideline, Fernandez launched the ball towards the right side of the goal box, where Weber rocketed the ball out of the air and into the back left corner of the net with 2:46 left for his Northeast-10 Conference-leading 12th goal of the year.
Senior goalkeeper
Ben Beaury (Cohoes, N.Y./LaSalle Institute) registered three first-half saves in between the pipes to earn his 44th career victory. Martin Jarc did not make a save in the contest for the Lakers. Mercyhurst registered a 15-10 advantage in shots, including 8-5 in the first half, while each team took three corner kicks.
Le Moyne (7-2-1), which is undefeated in its last 19 regular season non-conference games (18-0-1), returns to Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday hosting Stonehill College at 12:00 p.m.
