Evansville, Ind. – Le Moyne College senior Sean Beney (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) closed out his cross country career by placing 67th at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning at Angel Mounds.

Beney, who is the first Dolphin in the modern era to compete at the NCAA Championships, finished 67th among the 249 competitors after navigating the 10,000-kilometer course in a time of 32:24.7. The time is the second-fastest of his career over the distance, trailing just his time of 32:20.2 at last year's NCAA East Regional. He finished third among the 23 competitors from the Northeast-10 Conference.
