MEN'S AND WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY COMPETE AT CANISIUS ALUMNI CLASSIC

Buffalo, N.Y. – The Le Moyne men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Canisius Alumni Classic on Saturday afternoon.
 
The men's program finished the day placing 6th overall out of 14 total teams and 182 participants in the 8k event. Sophomore Tyler Cooper (Sloatsburg, N.Y./Suffern) earned the highest finish of the day for the 'Phins, after placing 14th overall, clocking in with a time of 25:38.3. Sophomore Carson Campbell (Lee Center, N.Y./Rome Free Academy) placed 27th overall after running a time of 26:25.7.
 
Junior Mike Purvis (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) placed 36th overall after running a time of 26:46.8. Sophomore Liam Rocks (Jersey City, N.J./St. Peter's Prep) placed 72nd overall, earning a time of 27:51.1, as classmate Brendan O'Rourke (New Milford, N.J./Bergen Catholic) placed 95th overall, running a time of 28:48.3 to round out the scoring for the Dolphins.
 
The women's program finished the day placing 8th overall out of 14 total teams and 145 participants in the 5k event. Sophomore Jasmin Gonzalex-Rivera (Utica, N.Y./Thomas R. Proctor) placed 26th overall, earning the best finish of the day for the 'Phins after running a time of 19:07.8. Classmate Isabella O'Donnell (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) placed 29th overall after running a time of 19:22.0
 
Junior Mackenzie Ples (Lowville, N.Y./Lowville) placed 58th overall after clocking in with a time of 20:07.7. Fifth Year Hailey Beckwith (Stephentown, N.Y./Berlin) placed 95th overall after running a time of 21:14.6, as freshman Emily Judd (Chittenango, N.Y.) placed 121st overall, running a time of 22:59.5 to  round out the scoring for the 'Phins.
 
What's Next:
 
The Dolphins competed in their final regular season meet of the 2025 campaign. The 2025 NEC Cross Country Championships will be held Saturday, November 1st hosted by Saint Francis University.
