THREE-POINT BARRAGE PROPELS 2017 NCAA FINALIST FAIRMONT STATE TO 92-68 WIN OVER MEN’S BASKETBALL

Fairmont, W.Va. – 2017 national finalist Fairmont State University used a 43-11 second-half run en route to a 92-68 victory over the Le Moyne College men's basketball team in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at Joe Retton Arena.

Redshirt senior guard Tyquan Rolon (Syracuse, N.Y./Nottingham/Mohawk Valley C.C.) led the Dolphins in the loss with a season-high 21 points, including 11 in the second half. Senior guard Russell Sangster (Rockville, Md./Bullis School) was the only other Dolphin in double digits with 11 points, eight of which came in the first half.

Fairmont State, which has won 28 straight home games dating back to February 2016, had five players score in double digits. Jason Jolly, who was selected to the Elite Eight All-Tournament team last year, and Caleb Davis each scored 18 points, while Jolly dished out seven assists and Davis grabbed seven rebounds. Kenzie Melko tallied 12 points and Andrew Emrick and D'Ondre Stockman each posted 11 points. The Fighting Falcons connected on 17-of-35 attempts from three-point range, including 10-of-17 in the second half.

Le Moyne (9-4), which played its final three non-conference games of the regular season against three of last year's eight national quarterfinalists, returns to Ted Grant Court for the first time in 35 days on Wednesday against Northeast-10 Conference foe Bentley University at 7:00 p.m.
