SAINT ROSE POSTS 3-0 VICTORY OVER WOMEN’S SOCCER

Syracuse, N.Y. – Nina Predanic scored a goal and dished out an assist to lead The College of Saint Rose to a 3-0 victory over the Le Moyne College women's soccer team on Wednesday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Field.

The Golden Knights scored the only goal they would need in the 21st minute. After taking a pass, Predanic carried the ball into the penalty box on the right side. Once pressured by the goalkeeper, Predanic sent a pass through the box and into open space, where it was tapped into the empty net from five yards out at the 20:39 mark by Morgan Burchhardt.

Predanic, the NE10 leader in points (20) and goals scored (8), doubled her team's lead in the 35th minute. Off a pass up the middle, Predanic settled the ball outside the penalty box, spun inside a defender and evaded another inside the box before slipping a shot from 10 yards out into the lower left corner of the net at the 34:23 mark.

The Golden Knights completed the game's scoring in the 65th minute following a Le Moyne foul. Off the free kick, the goalkeeper punched the ball away, but Caitlyn Dabagian was able to kick the rebound into the lower left from 12 yards out at the 64:27 mark for her third goal of the season.

Senior goalkeeper Anastasija Cumika (Riga, Latvia/Riga Kengarags/West Florida) recorded three first-half saves in the loss for the Dolphins. Marika Laurendeau made one save in each half to record the shutout victory between the pipes. Saint Rose registered a 13-7 advantage in shots, including 10-5 in the first half, while posting an 8-3 edge in corner kicks.

Le Moyne (3-5, 1-4 NE10) returns to action on Saturday at Adelphi University at 12:00 p.m.
