Syracuse, N.Y. – Sophomore attackman
Devin Andrews (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy/Stony Brook) tied his career high with seven points to lead the sixth-ranked Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team to a 20-6 win over Franklin Pierce University on Tuesday afternoon at Ted Grant Field.
Franklin Pierce opened the game's scoring as Mike Alibrandi recorded an unassisted goal 1:34 into the contest.
The Dolphins answered with four straight goals to take control of the game. Senior midfielder
Josh Slowinski (Williamsville, N.Y./Clarence) started the streak with his 13th goal of the year with 11:41 remaining. Junior attackman
Matt Hutchings (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) followed with his 20th marker of the campaign with 10:38 to go. Andrews tallied his first goal of the game with 6:29 remaining off a pass is transition from sophomore midfielder

Ben McCreary (Cicero, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) buried his sixth goal of the year.
Josh Dorr cut his team's deficit back to 4-2 with 5:29 remaining in the quarter off a pass from Domenic St. Laurent.
Le Moyne closed out the quarter with the final two goals. Senior midfielder
Dan Entenmann (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) pushed the lead back to three by finishing off a pass from Andrews with 4:27 left in the half. Freshman midfielder
Colin Sypek (Lake Worth, Fla./American Heritage School (Delray Beach)) completed the quarter's scoring with 1:09 left with his ninth goal of the season after receiving a pass from freshman attackman
Kevin Sheehan (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee).
Dorr finished off a pass from St. Laurent in an extra-man situation with 12:16 left to start the scoring in the second quarter.
The Dolphins countered with four consecutive goals in a span of 2:28. Like he did in the first quarter, Slowinski again started the 4-0 spurt with an extra-man goal with 11:35 left off a pass from junior attackman
Riley Larson (Fairfield, Conn./Ludlowe). Off the ensuing faceoff, Tubbert picked up the ground ball and found Andrews on the crease for his 12th goal of the year. The Dolphins scored their third goal in 46 seconds as senior midfielder
Ryan Cosgrove (Churchville, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) connected on his 13th goal of the season with 10:49 left off a pass from Hutchings to force a Franklin Pierce timeout. Following a save by junior goalkeeper
Riley Smith (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker/Onondaga C.C.), Entenmann cleared the ball before firing the ball into the back of the net at the 9:07 mark for his 12th goal of the year for a 10-3 advantage.
Following Matt Brewster's 10th goal of the season with 8:20 to go until halftime, Le Moyne scored the last three goals of the half to take a 13-4 lead into the intermission. Andrews scored the first two with 6:38 and 5:25 left in the period. Freshman attackman
John Howes (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) capped the half's scoring with 2:44 left with his seventh tally of the campaign after taking a feed from Andrews.
Brewster opened the scoring in the third quarter with an unassisted tally at the 13:47 mark.
Le Moyne responded with the last two goals of the stanza. In a reverse of their connection in the second quarter, Larson finished off a pass from Slowinski in an extra-man situation with 5:12 left in the quarter. Slowinski then tied his career-high with his third goal of the day after taking a feed from Sypek with 3:55 to go.
The Dolphins tallied the first five goals of the fourth quarter to take their largest lead of the game. Sheehan started the streak by netting his 13th goal of the campaign off a pass in an extra-man opportunity from Andrews with 12:27 left. Howes tallied his second goal of the day with 9:38 left off a pass from sophomore midfielder
Evan Kelly (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Aquinas Institute). Off the ensuing faceoff, freshman faceoff specialist
Nico Mattia (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) collected the ball and raced up field before flipping a pass to Sheehan, who found the back of the net for an 18-5 lead. Senior midfielder
James Felix (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford) netted his sixth goal of the year with 7:39 left, while completing Le Moyne's scoring with 4:20 left off a feed from Howes.
Colin Doherty finished off the game's scoring with 1:02 to play.
Smith made three saves (against four goals) in 30 minutes of play to earn the victory. Justin Lorenzo tallied seven saves (against 16 goals) over 47:33 in the setback.
Le Moyne (9-2, 6-1 NE10) returns to action on Saturday at seventh-ranked Pace University at 12:00 p.m.
